I've always had a respect for planet Saturn. Similar to the respect sailors may have for the ocean. A deity that can bring you to your knees. A power that can change you. Possibly take you.
As I approach my second Saturn return, this life theme of returning to New Zealand is in brilliant, trickster confluence with Saturn's domain of structure, discipline, focus and, for want of a better word, work! I can't help but admire, even when intense adjustment is necessary, the unifying intelligence at the source of all things, places and people. How it strikes at the heart of future me with unerring, dispassionate precision.
With Saturn, I am an initiate of my current life situation. Knowing that I'm an initiate, amidst the challenge of initiation is a creative act that invokes high magic. Saturn brings magical realism alive.
The softer vision of this upheaval is best seen, for little old me, from the longer story of the soul. This journey that is part of something so much more eternally mysterious. The challenge that is saturated with Grace, brings with it a gracious question. Can I surrender while the future takes my past, ruffles my present, strongly suggesting alignment with essence of Earthling? Future me now.
The provocation of initiation, that is humbly accepted and co-created with, weaves fate into a concious destiny. It's unseen codes and invisible signature can only be deciphered by humility. For it's written in the dirt and undergrowth, where virtue keeps the most beautiful secrets. At cost to herself.
My real work is to be intimate with Saturn's precise touch. I cannot inhabit a life situation or a circumstance. I can only inhabit the edge of existence, that calls me to the core, where all I have are the sensations of now. And knowing.

You're such a beautiful poet of life within it's essential offerings/insights Anna. I celebrate your trueness and mystery of your life as inspiration for us all as well. Namaste 🙏❤️
Slowly the axis of change occurs. We could note that Saturn sits on the boundary of the "known" world. The last planet one can see with the naked eye. As a boundary it is as much like a wall. The US tried to build a wall on its southern borders. The UK tried to separate itself from the European community. Both did this to prevent illegal immigrants getting in and affecting (infecting) the existing state, but without effect. Does the Saturn boundary try to prevent the outer planets Uranus (revolution), Neptune (vision) and Pluto (transformation) from infecting the status quo?
